Classic Landscapes was formed in 1993, becoming a Limited Company in 2005. It is owned and managed by John Connell.
After studying Ecology at college John worked in various parks and gardens, including a period of four years as a Head Gardener for The National Trust and a couple of years supervising grounds maintenance contracts for the MOD on Royal Navy sites.

Classic Landscapes provides a wide range of services carried out by experienced personnel. We like to work closely with our clients so that the completed scheme compliments and enhances its surroundings and fulfils the client’s requirements.

Over the years, Classic Landscapes has undertaken many diverse works from the tidying of small private gardens to the refurbishment and restoration of larger public parks. We have worked in a wide range of styles from stylish contemporary designs to more traditional schemes to wildlife habitat creation.

As well as the usual soft and hard landscaping we also undertake fencing (both in steel and wood); construction of garden structures; groundworks; play areas; paddock maintenance (conservation cuts and baling); control of Japanese knotweed and landscape maintenance.

We have partner companies who provide tree surveys (OMC Associates); design and construction of special spaces (Shrine and Sanctuary); provision of wildflower turf (Wildflower Turf Limited) and Eco-Friendly Coffins (Honest Coffins Limited).
